Thank you for your interest in the National Federation of the Blind of Virginia's (NFBV's) Project RISE: resilience, independence, self-advocacy, employment.

Project RISE is a transition program, focusing on providing blind and low vision students across Virginia with the skills necessary to become competitively employed. These tools  will be useful whether participants attend an institution of higher education, a vocational school, or enter the workforce directly after high school. Project RISE combines the knowledge of successful blind professionals, the positive philosophy of the National Federation of the Blind, and an engaging and innovative curriculum to give blind and low vision students, between the ages of 14-21, the independence and confidence they need to be successful. Project RISE tailors to all skill sets and academic levels. This program aims to change the future of blind students.
